Ms. Ping SUN, famous Peking Opera performance artist, dean of the Arts Research Institute of Beijing Foreign Studies University

Born in 1961 in Beijing, was a member of the National Committee of the 10th, 11th, and 12th CPPCC (Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference), and a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee. Now she serves as the Director of the Peking Opera Center at Renmin University, China, and the Dean of the Arts Research Institute of Beijing Foreign Studies University. Additional posts include: Honorary Director of the Palace Opera Research Institute of The Palace Museum; Guest Director of Petofi Theatre, Hungary; Guest Professor of the Drama Academy, Yale University; Guest Professor of the Music Department, University of Pennsylvania; member of Sino-US and Sino-France Cultural Exchange Association; and Honorary Doctor of Arts at Chapman University, USA.
