
Prof. CHANG Hsin-Kang holds a master's degree in structural engineering from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University. He has served as Dean of the School of Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh, Chair of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Southern California, and Professor of Biomedical and Physiological Sciences at McGill University in Canada. From 1996 to 2007, he was President of City University of Hong Kong. He is a foreign fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and a world-renowned expert in biomedical engineering. He has been awarded the French National Order of the Legion of Honour and the Gold Bauhinia Star by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. He has published several notable works, including Selling Water by the River: The Collected Speeches of CHANG Hsin-Kang (2018) , Journey through the Greater Middle East (2011, 2017) , and Cultivation in University: Thirty-Six Lectures on Humanities by CHANG Hsin-Kang (second edition, 2015) .
